Ever wondered what the word Church actually means? Some people think of it as being merely a building, however if we want a more Biblical definition, we should look at Church more like a community, assembly or gathering.

At MIE we want our Churches to be more than just a building, we want them to be a community. A gathering of people who want to care for each other and know God better!

As with all communities, life is better when you’re connected to others! The saying goes: if everyone takes care of the person next to them, then everyone is taken care of. And this is the kind of community we long for!

There are a number of ways you can get connected in our community:

Small Groups

One of the primary ways our community meets together is through something called small groups. Small groups usually consist of a small number of Church goers getting together weekly or fortnightly and discussing life, studying the Bible, socializing and supporting each other. Learn more about small groups …

Events

Another great way to connect into life at St John’s and St Andrew’s is to keep an eye out for any up and coming events by viewing our calendar. We have a great range of men’s and women’s events as well as some family days for everyone to enjoy. You can also keep up to date by signing up to our newsletter.

Serving

Ever hear the saying: you get out what you put in! Well it’s true. We believe that one of the best ways to link into a community is to consider using some of your unique talents to help out. At Church this could look like welcoming people on a Sunday, making teas and coffees, helping the tech guys and gals with the PA as well as a whole range of other things. Find out more about serving …
