Ever wondered what the word Church actually means? Most people think of it as the buildings, but it’s actually the people -literally it means assembly or gathering. However, the Bible teaches us that church is meant to be something more than that -Church is meant to be a family.

However, we all know family doesn’t just happen. Deepening relationships with new family members takes time, effort and investment.

There are a number of ways you can get stuck into in our church family:

It’s rather boring, but signing up to ChurchSuite and the newsletter is how you will know what’s going on, as this is how we keep everyone updated on events. We also organise all rotas on there, so once you’re plugged in and serving, it’s vital for keeping track of what you’re doing! It’s like your family WhatsApp. (if you uncheck ‘I want to receive emails’ you will not get updates!)

Home Groups

One of the primary ways our community meets together is through something called Home groups. Home groups usually consist of a small number of Church members getting together weekly or fortnightly and studying the Bible, sharing lives and fellowship and letting iron sharpen iron. Learn more about small groups …

Events

Another great way to connect into life at MIE is to keep an eye out for any up and coming events by viewing our calendar. We have a range of men’s and women’s events as well as seasonal intergenerational worship and fellowship events for everyone to enjoy. You can also keep up to date by signing up to our newsletter.

Serving

We believe that one of God’s greatest gifts to the church is you! We are a body that needs all it’s members, and we need you and the unique gifts God has given you. This could look like serving on Sunday rotas, such as the welcome team, making teas and coffees, the tech team as well as a whole range of other none-Sunday-rota options! Find out more about serving …

Annual Church Meeting

Each year we have a formal meeting known as the Annual Parochial Church Meeting. The reports for the last one can be found here.
