What We Believe

We are Christian

We stand in line with the church of the last 2000 years, holding to the catholic (this mean ‘universal’ here rather than Roman Catholic) creeds of the early Church. They are the Apostles Creed, the Nicene Creed and the Athanasian Creed.

We are Evangelical

We stand in the tradition of the Protestant Reformation, believing we are saved by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone, as revealed by Scripture alone, to the glory of God alone. We uphold the the supremacy of scripture; the majesty of Jesus Christ; the lordship of the Holy Spirit; the necessity of conversion and new birth; the priority of evangelism and the importance of fellowship.

We are Anglican

We belong to the Church of England and believe that as we pray, so we believe and so we live. So our doctrine is not just found in our Reformed Catholic confession; the Thirty-Nine Articles of Religion, but also in the Book of Common Prayer.
