At Mission Ipswich East ( St Johns and St Andrews) we regularly run Alpha courses to help people discover more about the Christian faith.

Alpha is a course designed to help you unpack the basics of the Christian faith in a relaxed and friendly environment. Our goal is to make Alpha accessible for all people and is aimed at people investigating faith for themselves. Each Alpha session consists of a sharing a meal together, watching a video and an opportunity to ask whatever questions you might have about life, faith & God. 

There are only two rules on Alpha! Firstly, there are no stupid questions! And secondly, that there are no questions off limits! 

So why not come along and join us on Alpha … Be yourself! And bring all your hardest questions with you. We usually look to run Alpha a few times throughout the year.  We’d love to welcome you to a course in the near future!

Our next Alpha courses will run for 9 consecutive weeks starting the week beginning January 19th 2026. We hope to run them across MIE, depending on interest, launching on :

Monday 19th January at St John's Church at 7pm to 8:30pm.
